Getting to Know The Drops

Drops of Faith Christian Missions (DFCM) is an independent holistic tribal mission work which was started in 1999 by Rev. Ptr. Ernie Catanghal. The ministry has concentrated in the northern part of the island of Mindoro working with the Iraya Mangyan communities.

This missionary work has already reached out to seven tribal communities namely Hinugasan, Anduyanan, Agdilao, Ulasan, Pinagbayanan, Agabalite and Kalansan which are situated remotely in different parts of the island.

DFCM operates through God’s grace as it has no regular local and foreign support but for seventeen years we have seen how God has used this small tribal mission work mightily.

Our tribal ministry has focused from the basic needs to those long term helps for the people. We do nutrition program, medical, hygiene and relief operations, evangelism, community development and education both non-formal and formal.

DFCM believes in the importance of holistic approach in the tribes.

DFCM today is still pressing on towards the vision of making a difference in the lives of the Mangyan people by helping them help their own one day.

The work is too big and the need is great.

“We were not alone. We are blessed with some families and friends who believed in the work DFCM do and partnered with us by doing the extra mile to fuel our operations in the mission field. They are our support team.”

Today we don’t have enough support team but God always brings us new souls whom He touches to fill in the need for our support team. We believe nothing will be impossible with God and the unity of His people.

The mission team is composed of few ordinary people volunteered to join together in one vision of bringing glory to God through tribal missions. DFCM operates by God’s grace alone. The organization does not have any foreign and local backing but only through the compassion and generosity of its circle of friends that shares in the vision and partnered with them.

DFCM is just hopeful that in the end of all the missionary work the people will come to realize that we existed all because of love that comes from above -GOD.
